Simone Biles is probably on cloud nine these days. After attending her second Olympic games last summer and taking home two medals, the professional gymnast has been enjoying some time off, and then, following Valentine’s Day this year, the athlete revealed that she was engaged to her boyfriend, Jonathan Owens.
The announcement was made with a series of photos that were taken when Owens popped the question. The pair are pictured under a gorgeous white gazebo, where the NFL football player got down on one knee and slipped a stunning ZoFrost ring on Biles’s finger.
Now, while basking in the excitement of being a fiancée, Biles showed off a personalized gift on her Instagram Story that commemorates the scene of Owens’s proposal. “How sweet is this gift,” Biles said. “Putting this up & keeping it forever.”
Although Biles didn’t reveal the sender, we were treated to a close-up shot of the wine bottle, which was painted to commemorate the engagement. The painting is a recreation of Biles jumping into Owens’s arms as the pair shared a kiss. The artist added a personal touch by putting a Houston Texans flag on the ground of the gazebo, which is the team for which Owens currently plays as safety. The top of the bottle also included the date of their engagement: 2/14/22.
Biles shared these photos last week, with a caption that said, “THE EASIEST YES. I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married FIANCÉ @jowens_3.”
