Sir Lewis Hamilton has received a lot of love after his controversial loss in the final race of the F1 season and receiving his knighthood today. From the tennis world, the seven-time champion has drawn the respect and adulation of legends like Billie Jean King and Boris Becker, and teenage prodigy Emma Raducanu.

All three of these personalities came together in wishing the British Formula One driver. He was knighted by the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles in a ceremony today.

The former American tennis legend lead the best wishes and stated, “Congratulations to 7x #F1 World Champion and equality advocate @LewisHamilton on receiving knighthood today. Lewis Hamilton continuously uses his platform to advocate for social change and is so deserving of this honor.”

Besides Billie Jean King, even British teenager Emma Raducanu congratulated Lewis by sharing a story of the British driver being knighted. Raducanu has previously admitted that she’s a huge F1 fan.

Former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker also wished him. He stated, “Arise Sir.” One cannot deny the achievements Hamilton has acquired in recent years. He had one of the best opportunities to overtake Michael Schumacher, who he is tied with on seven titles. King’s comments about Hamilton are well deserved as the 36-year-old has always used his platform and his voice to advocate for the things he believes in.

Coming to tennis, Raducanu had a brilliant season as the tennis shifted to the grass. At the Wimbledon Championships, she managed to reach the second week, which was a huge success for her first ever Grand Slam appearance.

Soon after came the US Open in which she knocked some of the top players in the game en-route to the final. In the final, she played another teenager, Leylah Fernandez, who she defeated to claim her first Grand Slam title. The teenager scripted history as she came straight from the qualifiers and won the Slam without dropping a single set.

Now that the season is over, it will be interesting to see how she performs in the upcoming 2022 season.
