Federer prematurely ended his season in August to undergo another knee surgery..
Federer is 40 and Stefanos Tsitsipas recently admitted he didn’t think the Swiss would be active for so long. “Nobody knows. I still think he is capable of a lot,” Tsitsipas said, when asked for how long could Djokovic stay on top.
“Who would have thought Roger Federer would still be playing at 40? I didn’t. But I’m sure he will make a comeback,” Tsitsipas told BILD Sport. Federer struggled with staying cool and collected during the early days of his career.
“I asked him about it when we were together years ago, I asked if it was something someone said, a coach, or his parents or whatever… He said ” it was a little bit of a bunch of things”.
But he said ‘ultimately I just realized that if I’m that emotional, those things can knock me off the rails, then I can’t think my way through what’s going on out there’.
He used to say ‘I need to be able to find solutions,”‘ Federer’s former coach Paul Annacone recently said during his appearance on the Tennis.com Podcast.
