Undoubtedly, 40-year old megastar Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia are the internet’s sweethearts. Not only is Serena Williams a household name now, but so is her 4-year-old daughter. There is no doubt that within these period, Serena williams have succeeded in building a very strong bond between her and Olympia.
Since taking time off from tennis after a hamstring injury, Serena has spent exponentially more time with Olympia. Even though many fans sorely miss seeing the 23-time Grand Slam champion on the tour, they aren’t complaining.
After all, they regularly get to see their favorite tennis star and a look inside her family.
Serena Williams misses Olympia five minutes into not seeing her
Serena Williams sent out a tweet today describing the emotions she goes through whenever Olympia goes out of the house on a playdate.
“I’m happy when Olympia goes (on) play dates,” Serena expressed on Twitter. However, at the same time, being the mother that she is, she can’t help but miss her daughter instantly. “I just miss her so much,” she wrote, along with emojis of crying faces and broken hearts.
In fact, Serena even acknowledged how hyperbolically she is speaking. She admitted that she goes through these emotions of happiness and then misses her daughter all within the span of five minutes!

“It’s only five minutes into her leaving”, she wrote, along with a couple of self-aware laughing emojis.
Clearly, Serena Williams can’t get enough of her daughter. She isn’t wrong, though, since apparently, neither can the internet!
Serena will not be playing in the Australian Open next week
Much to the dismay of fans across the world, Serena announced in December last year that she would not be present in Australia for the beginning of the 2022 season.
Fans had expected Serena to play in the Australian Open, and potentially try for a 24th Grand Slam. Thus, it would have put right alongside Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 major titles. Moreover, Serena has 7 Australian Open singles titles to her name.
With the Australian Open underway, now is a great time to reflect back on one of the most dominant tennis players to ever participate in the tournament, Serena Williams!🔥 pic.twitter.com/xl0eIhDnsI

However, it was not to be, as Serena pulled out from the tournament. She explained that her medical team was not confident in her being 100 percent ready to be back playing competitive tennis.
Nevertheless, it surely would be a better and more ideal state of affairs if the dominant tennis star were to come back feeling completely healthy. Do you think the world will see Serena Williams take to the clay court at Rolland Garros?
