Serena Williams congratulates Lewis Hamilton after Qatar GP win
Hamilton made an incredible comeback in the first-ever Qatar Grand Prix and became the first to cross the finish line.
To congratulate him, Serena put up a story that read, “Go Lewis”. Over the years, the two supreme athletes have shared a warm friendship. The racer has been in the Williams camp during her matches. On the other hand, Serena too has attended a number of Formula One races.
The message from Serena is also one of motivation as Lewis is currently eight points behind rival Max Verstappen with two races to go. If he were to win the driver’s championship, it would be his record-breaking 8th title.
Both athletes are absolute legends in their respective sports and are still going strong. The manner in which the British driver has been performing in recent years has been phenomenal. The American superstar has been the most dominant player in the women’s game in the modern era.
This season, Serena hasn’t competed after her injury during the first rounds of Wimbledon Championships. However, she does look set to compete at the Australian Open 2022.
It will be interesting to see if she can win her 24th Grand Slam title in the upcoming 2022 season.
